Evocative Expands Further into Dallas with Acquisition of Carrier-1’s Data Center

Evocative today announces the expansion of its global footprint with the acquisition of Carrier-1’s data center in Dallas, TX (DA4). This latest acquisition coincides with Evocative’s recent announcement of its funding round, providing continued growth opportunities for the company.

The Carrier-1 acquisition marks the fourth location for Evocative in the Dallas area, enabling Evocative to provide a wider range of products and services to the existing Carrier-1 customers, as well as regional and geographic expansion capabilities to the Evocative customer base. The transaction brings the total number of US Evocative data center locations to 11 and increases the number of network nodes to 17. The property includes 8.6 acres of land and a 106,000 square foot data center, as well as 10 MW of capacity with N+1 design of the electrical and N+2 on mechanical systems.

When connected to the Evocative global network backbone, customers will be able to utilize disaster recovery, business continuity, and remote backup and storage services from their Carrier-1 collocated servers as well as have access to the Evocative bare-metal and virtual private server offerings located in remote Evocative data centers.
